Samsung has started rolling out a new update to the Galaxy J7 (2016) in India. The update brings not only bug fixes and stability improvements, but also Samsung Pay Mini as well as the June 2017 security patch to the smartphone. Samsung Pay Mini, which is a basic version of Samsung Pay that supports third-party wallets and India's national money transfer service (UPI), could be rolled out to more budget devices in the near future.
The update for the Galaxy J7 (2016) (SM-J710F) carries firmware version J710FXXU3AQF6 and has a file size of 136.32MB. It can be downloaded by visiting the Software Update section in the Settings menu. If you're from India or any other market, do let us know if have you started receiving this update on your device.
Update: Looks like Samsung Pay Mini isn't active yet, and that the company is just preparing for the launch of the service for the Galaxy J7 (2016). We will update you as soon as the payment service starts working.
