The majority of the people who purchased a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ are still unable to use one of the biggest features of the flagship handset. Bixby has only been released in two markets so far, South Korea and the United States. There have been some indications recently that Samsung might be gearing up to launch Bixby across the globe.
We picked up on the Bixby updates that Samsung was sending out last week. It has rolled out the core Bixby apps to users across the globe. What's left now is just a server-side change that will enable Bixby on their devices.
We've now spotted an ad that Samsung's running on Facebook. The ad is a teaser which calls on the people to “get ready for a smarter way to use your phone.” The Bixby logo is clearly displayed in the teaser so this could only mean that Samsung is going to announce the global launch of Bixby tomorrow.
August 22 is mentioned as the potential launch date in the teaser and that's tomorrow. The timing won't be surprising given that Samsung is due to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23. If Bixby is launched globally tomorrow, it would mean that all Galaxy Note 8 users will have access to this feature from the very first day.
