Samsung confirms Gear Sport and Gear IconX 2018 price and release date

Samsung today confirmed the price and release date its new wearable devices, the Gear Sport and the Gear IconX 2018. Both devices will be available for online pre-order starting tomorrow, October 13. Samsung has confirmed that the Gear Sport and Gear IconX 2018 will be released in the United States on October 27.

Gear Sport

The Gear Sport is a new smartwatch from Samsung that offers military-grade durability and a 1.2-inch circular Super AMOLED display. It features swim tracking, real-time heart rate monitoring, activity detection and Spotify's offline mode. The Gear Sport also offers 5 ATM water resistance.

Available for purchase in Blue and Black colors with a variety of custom watch bands, the Gear Sport will cost $299.99 in the United States. Customers can pre-order it starting tomorrow at Samsung.com and BestBuy.com and it will subsequently be released on October 27.

Gear IconX 2018

Samsung has also confirmed the Gear IconX 2018 price and release date. They're slightly improved compared to their predecessor and are also capable of launching Bixby. Users will get 4GB of internal storage and up to 7 hours of music playback time from the 82mAh battery. The Gear IconX 2018 is compatible with any Android device running version 4.4 and higher.

Samsung is asking $199.99 for the Gear IconX 2018 in the United States. Pre-orders open tomorrow only via Samsung.com and the Gear IconX 2018 will also be released on October 27 through Samsung.com, Amazon, BestBuy.com, US Cellular and Sprint.
