There have been countless rumors that the Galaxy S9 might feature an optical fingerprint sensor. What that means is that the sensor will be integrated into the display itself. This was also rumored for the Galaxy S8 as well but Samsung decided against it because apparently, the technology wasn't ready.

Do you think the Galaxy S9 iris scanner should be removed if the Galaxy S9 comes with an optical fingerprint sensor? Would you feel better about it if Samsung improved facial recognition on the Galaxy S9 before removing the iris scanner? Or would you just like it to stick around as a novelty?

Vote below and share your thoughts about this with us in the comments below.

Results: 53 percent of you believe that it's better for Samsung to give customers more choice while 21 percent feel that the iris scanner won't be needed if a display-based fingerprint sensor is present. An equal number of people feel that it should be ditched if facial recognition is improved. Only 5 percent believe the iris scanner should be left as a novelty.
