Samsung has now started rolling out the Galaxy S7 November security patch. The firmware update is being rolled out for the unbranded Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in the Netherlands. These are the first handsets in the country to receive the November security patch from Samsung.

The update weighs in at just under 20MB. That's not surprising, given that this firmware update doesn't bring anything else than the latest security patch for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

The security patch for the month of November 2017 was detailed by Samsung last week. It brings the fix for a major Wi-Fi security flaw. The Krack Wi-Fi vulnerability has been fixed with this update.

This vulnerability can enable hackers to eavesdrop on traffic between wireless access points and connected devices. The patch also includes fixes for 61 vulnerabilities found in the Android OS. Patches for six vulnerabilities in Samsung's software are included as well.

Samsung is now rolling out firmware update G930FXXS1DQK1 and G935FXXS1DQK1 for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in the Netherlands respectively. The update is being rolled out over-the-air.

The November 2017 security patch will soon be released for the carrier-branded versions of the handsets soon as well.
