A Weibo user has posted what appear to be the screen protectors for the upcoming Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. The screen protectors for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have also been posted next to these images to give us an idea of how the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ might look.

Alleged Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ screen protectors

From these images and numerous other leaks, it is evident that the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will not be dramatically different from the current Galaxy S8 and S8+. To be fair to Samsung, with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, Samsung already pushed the envelope on smartphone design. It is doubtful the design of Samsung flagship phones will change much until the next flagship that's due in 2019.

In the leaked images, we can see sensor cut-outs for the earpiece, camera, iris scanner, etc. There doesn't seem to be any iPhone X-like notch in the soon to be launched Samsung flagships despite reports of new hardware to improve facial recognition. Apart from that, these alleged screen protectors for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ doesn’t reveal much about the yet to be announced devices.

Recently, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ were spotted at the FCC. With all the talk of Samsung bringing the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ early to the market to counter iPhone X sales, we won’t be surprised if the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are announced earlier than the usual schedule, possibly at the MWC 2018 in February.
