We just reported that the stable Galaxy S9 Android Pie firmware is now rolling out. Samsung had previously said that it would release Pie for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 in January 2019. However, it seems like the company has sent out an early Christmas present for Galaxy S9 owners.
Samsung is rolling out firmware version G960FXXU2CRLI and G965FXXU2CRLI for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ in Germany. It may be a while before the firmware goes live in other markets across the globe. No worries, though, as we have the stable Galaxy S9 Android Pie firmware available for download from our database.
Download Galaxy S9 Android Pie firmware from our database
We have already shared the screenshots of the update roll out in our earlier post. The actual firmware files have now been obtained and uploaded to our database. Android Pie firmware version G960FXXU2CRLI and G965FXXU2CRLI are now available for download (Galaxy S9 | Galaxy S9+) from our firmware section.
As previously mentioned, this is the fastest rollout of a major Android update from Samsung, not that we're complaining. It doesn't seem that the stable version is out yet for the Galaxy Note 9. It may be a matter of time before the flagship phablet gets it as well.
You can check this constantly updated list to see if the Pie update has been released in your country.
