The rumors about a 12GB Galaxy S10+ variant with 1TB of internal storage aren't dying down. It's believed that this configuration will be part of a limited premium version of the Galaxy S10+ that has the ceramic back. We exclusively reported a couple of months ago that Samsung will sell a model of the Galaxy S10 with a ceramic back.
However, there's no such concrete information available about this memory and storage configuration. Its origins are interesting too, given that this possibility was first highlighted in a general analyst report.
12GB Galaxy S10+ with 1TB storage might be quite expensive
The analyst report in question made predictions about smartphone RAM options for the future. It wasn't a leak about the 12GB Galaxy S10+ but it was perceived as such by some outlets. Soon the Weibo/Twitter leaker crowed jumped into the fray. They also claimed that there will be a Galaxy S10+ model with these figures.
An anonymous tipster apparently got information from a Samsung representative who had working Galaxy S10 prototypes. They tell GSMArena that a premium version of the Galaxy S10+ will have 12GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage. This version will be sold in limited quantities. All of the reports make this version out to be separate from the 6.7-inch Galaxy S10 X which will have 5G support.
Samsung can obviously put these numbers on the next flagship but it will be stretching the price bracket to an unprecedented level. The Galaxy S10 prices rumored already show that it won't be cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Its 8GB/512GB configuration is expected to cost a whopping ~$1,480.
Do you think Samsung should offer the 12GB Galaxy S10+ with 1TB storage regardless of how much it costs? More importantly, would you be willing to pay for it? Let us know in the comments below.
