Galaxy S10 LED cover to have an ‘Emotional Lighting Effect’

Do you ever just look at your phone's case and wonder if it could give you some emotional support? Samsung seems to think a lot of people are doing this which is why the Galaxy S10 LED cover will have an “Emotional LED Lighting Effect” for some reason.

This LED cover for Samsung's upcoming flagship has surfaced in a leaked image. The company is no stranger to making first-party accessories for its devices so there's little doubt about the authenticity of this case.

Galaxy S10 LED cover has a garish ambient effect

We have previously seen LED flip covers from Samsung. They have a flap on the front which covers the screen and also displays notifications and a clock. That implementation was pretty useful. Samsung seems to be going in a completely different direction with the Galaxy S10 LED cover.

There no flap on the front and the LEDs are all at the back. This means that the notifications will only be useful if your phone is lying face down. That's not how you'll be placing your phone if you're bold enough to rock a Galaxy S10 without a screen protector. The Emotional LED Lighting Effect appears to be a garish ambient pattern that mimics a starry night at the back of your phone.

You can all put your heads together and try to comprehend why Samsung feels something like this is required. It's confident enough about its efficacy and this case will seemingly be offered for all three Galaxy S10 variants. It's not something that I would be particularly interested in wasting my money or my Galaxy S10's battery life on, for that matter.
