There are many robust note-taking apps in the market, but Samsung Notes app is perhaps the best option for S Pen fans. The app harnesses the capabilities of Samsung’s stylus better than any other offering on the market, although it falls short of the company’s own S Note app that Samsung Notes replaced.
Samsung is making its note-taking app even more capable in the latest app update to version 3.0.05.13 by bringing Shared Notebooks feature. As evident from the name, this option allows Galaxy users to create shared notebooks in the Samsung Notes app. The process is straightforward and requires enabling Samsung Social features which can be done by clicking on the Shared Notebooks option in the app.
While this feature is new to the Samsung Notes app, it is commonplace on the market. Many of the popular note-taking apps already offer similar or better collaboration features. Still, it is a worthy upgrade and makes Samsung’s first-party offering a good-enough option for many Galaxy users. The fact that the app is entirely free also adds to its appeal.
It is not clear which devices and OS versions are receiving the app update. Depending on the market and the device, the update should be pushed either via Google Play or Galaxy Store. In our case, it is available for the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 through the Galaxy Store, but nothing so far for the Tab S3. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can try your luck by downloading the APK from our database.
