The Galaxy Watch LTE has gained support for one more carrier in Brazil. Claro has started selling the smartwatch in the country. Until now, the watch was available only for Vivo's postpaid customers. Equipped with an e-SIM, the Galaxy Watch LTE lets users seamlessly access network connectivity on their watch, without needing to have it connected to a smartphone. The watch shares the number and plan contracted for a smartphone.

Early buyers get 3 months of free service

To share your smartphone number and Claro Post plan with your Galaxy Watch LTE, you need to subscribe to Claro Sync. The service costs BRL 29.99 (~$7.6) per month. However, the carrier is running a promotional offer which gives 3 months of free service to customers who join the network and buy the watch before May 30.

You can sync your smartphone with your Galaxy Watch LTE at any Claro store. The pairing is done through the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone. The Galaxy Watch is compatible with both Samsung and non-Samsung Android smartphones as well as iPhones.

The Galaxy Watch LTE comes with the Exynos 9110 dual-core 1.15GHz processor, paired with 1.5 GB of RAM and 4GB storage. The device has been manufactured to the MIL-STD-810 durability standard and is water resistant up to 50 meters. It is priced at BRL 2,339 (~$594) for the 42mm model in Brazil and comes in black and gold. The 46mm model costs BRL 2,519 (~$640) and is available only in silver.
