Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series, and along with it, the New Galaxy Club program for the latest lineup of phones. The latter is a monthly subscription plan that provides you with up to 50% buyback value on your Galaxy S25 when you upgrade to a newer model as well as Samsung Care+. Well, it is gaining popularity in the brand’s home country, South Korea, where it is called New Galaxy AI Subscription Club.

Samsung has announced that one out of five buyers of the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea has opted for New Galaxy AI Subscription Club. That’s twenty percent of the total buyers of the new lineup of smartphones. Samsung says that most people who went for New Galaxy AI Subscription Club got the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Young people love to get the latest gadgets

Among the people who went for the subscription plan, 60% were between the age of 20 and 30, which, Samsung says, shows that people in this age bracket are interested in getting the latest gadgets and are highly receptive to the subscription model.

Commenting on the achievement, Samsung Electronics’ Vice President, Lim Sung-Taek said (converted from Korean to English) “We would like to thank all the customers who have chosen the ‘New Galaxy AI Subscription Club,’ which is leading the paradigm shift in purchasing mobile products, for their enthusiastic interest and support. We will lead the future smartphone purchasing trend together with the ‘New Galaxy AI Subscription Club,’ which allows for a wide range of innovative features of the latest products at an affordable price.
