Movies and TV shows based on books and novels are nothing new. These days, though, a lot of movies and TV shows are based on popular gaming franchises. Amazon's Prime Video is making a TV show that's based on Bethesda's popular gaming series Fallout. Now, a release date has been revealed for the upcoming TV show.
Amazon Prime Video to release Fallout TV show in April 2024
Fallout has confirmed that the TV show based on the game will be released on 12 April 2024. The release date was revealed through a short video that was tweeted by Fallout's official X handle. The release date is visible in the Pip-Boy, Fallout's famous wearable computer. The first teaser of the TV show was released as a teaser at Gamescom 2023, but it was revealed to the public. It was revealed only to the attendees at the event.
Apparently, the TV show teaser showcased the Brotherhood of Steel marching across a dusty desert that looks like a more urban version of Dune’s Arrakis. It also showcased Vertibird vehicles and a vault opening as a woman shields her eyes from the sun. It also showed multiple nuclear explosions in the current-day world. According to IGN, the Fallout TV show's production quality and visuals looked impressive.
The story of the Fallout TV show will reportedly be different from any of the games in the series. It is set in Los Angeles, USA, and showcases Vault 33.
Author's Note: Once the TV show is released, you can watch it on your Samsung smart TV via the Prime Video app. You can also use any platform where Prime Video is available. However, with its high brightness settings, it would look great on Samsung's QLED, Neo QLED, or QD-OLED TVs. While it would look even better on Samsung's Micro LED TVs, they are inaccessible to most consumers in the world due to their exorbitant price tags.
