You may have heard the rumors about Samsung possibly wanting to give the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra a more exotic frame made of titanium. Samsung hasn't said anything on the matter yet, but Apple may have confirmed Samsung's intentions in a roundabout way at its iPhone 15 launch event yesterday.
Apple and Samsung may not be too alike, but they sometimes step in each other's footsteps in certain aspects. They borrow ideas from one another, and for us Samsung fans, it means that Apple's event yesterday more or less confirmed the use of titanium in Samsung's next premium flagship. At the very least, Apple made the Galaxy S24 Ultra rumors a lot more credible.

Chances of the Galaxy S24 Ultra using titanium have shot up
The new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max boast a titanium build. Apple beat Samsung to the punch and adopted this durable material for its uppermost iPhone variants this year, but we expect Samsung to follow suit.
The Galaxy S24 series will probably follow a similar strategy. Not to be outdone by Apple, Samsung could use titanium for at least one of its upcoming flagships. And rumors have it that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the one to use this material exclusively, while the base and Plus Galaxy S24 models will reuse the tried and tested armor aluminum construction.
If Samsung somehow doesn't use titanium for its next flagship series, it will for the Galaxy S25. But so far, all signs point to the Galaxy S24 Ultra boasting this upgrade. Apple may have debuted this upgrade ahead of Samsung, but the US-based company has a head start of only a few months. Samsung is expected to announce its Galaxy S24 lineup in early 2024, possibly in January. The Galaxy S24 Ultra may also boast a flat display and up to 2TB of storage.
