As Google’s Bard AI inches closer to launch, here’s a peek at its UI

While we wait for the official launch date of Google's AI-enhanced assistant Bard, folks at 9To5Google have given us a peek at what the UI of the Google Bard AI assistant will look like. Notably, the Google app has been updated with some new designs, giving us the best look at the tab switcher and pop-up window.

In an APK-Insight post, the latest version of the Google app was decompiled. The refreshed Bard AI assistant's UI also tweaks the recently launched stocks and finance widgets. Moreover, it seems like the Assistant with Bard will replace the existing Assistant experience on supported Android devices. But you can still use the old ways of triggering the assistant, i.e., long-pressing the power button or saying, ‘Hey, Google.'

The new Bard AI pop-up gives you access to three buttons to submit your queries

Also, the new Bard AI assistant UI will be placed on top of the Discover page of the Google search app. The button is rather a slider switch, and it is unclear if the button rests there to remind you to check out the Bard AI assistant or if it will have a permanent place there. Besides, folks at 9To5Google were also able to enable the pop-up that you will use to submit your prompts and questions to the Bard AI assistant.

The pop-up has three buttons for typing, sending voice messages, and sharing a photo with the assistant. The new Bard AI assistant setup prompt is also redesigned, and it now shows a prominent ‘Try assistant with Bard' message to upgrade your assistant to include Bard and its advanced AI features. For now, the Bard AI assistant is inaccessible, and we will have to wait a bit for its official launch.
