Samsung is gradually updating its various Good Lock modules with support for One UI 7.0. This will ensure that these enhanced customization features are good to go when One UI 7.0 is released for the public in the near future.
Camera Assistant is the latest Good Lock module to be updated with support for One UI 7.0. The update's release notes also confirm a not-so-secret secret about the Galaxy A56, Samsung's upcoming mid-range smartphone.
Camera Assistant update confirms One UI 7.0 for Galaxy A56
Samsung launched the Camera Assistant Good Lock module over two years ago. It provides advanced features and settings for the camera that users can play around with. This includes the ability to disable or enable automatic HDR, soften images, automatic lens switching, and more.
One of the most loved features of Camera Assistant is called Quick Shot. It reduces motion blur in still images, making it super simple to shoot good images of subjects that just won't stay still, such as pets, kids, or fast-moving objects like vehicles.
The latest update for Camera Assistant is rolling out for the Galaxy S25 series today. Remember, it's the only lineup that currently runs One UI 7.0 out of the box. The release notes for the update do mention the Galaxy A56 in the supported models, which more or less confirms that the upcoming mid-ranger will also run One UI 7.0 out of the box.
This has been rumored a few times already. Most recently, it was the FCC certification for the device that reconfirmed One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy A56 straight from the factory. Given that the Galaxy A5x often tends to be Samsung's most popular mid-range phone, this is something that a lot of customers will be very happy about.
