Last week, Samsung released the One UI 4.1 update to the international version of the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Now, the company has started rolling out the update to the carrier-locked model of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in the US.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G781U) comes bearing firmware version G781USQU7FVC2 in the US. The update is rolling out on T-Mobile's network, but more carriers could get the update soon. The update also includes the March 2022 security update that fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy S20 FE 5G user on T-Mobile's network in the US, you can check for the One UI 4.1 OTA update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Galaxy S20 FE 5G One UI 4.1 update features

The One UI 4.1 update brings Google Duo Live Sharing, Smart Widgets, improved Color Palette, and the ability to shoot portrait videos with the 3x telephoto lens to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. AR Zone lets you add GIFs from Tenor to your AR Emoji and change background colors in mask mode.

Samsung has also added the ability to turn off GOS, customize virtual RAM capacity, and select more Galaxy Watch 4 options (such as changing the watch face or altering a setting) from Bixby Routines.

The Gallery app now lets you add portrait effects to any photo with a person, remaster old images, remove unwanted reflections and shadows, and adjust portrait lighting in pictures. It can convert motion photos into still images to save storage space and share images and videos using a single link. The app can also convert still images of sceneries into beautiful 24-hour time-lapse videos.

Samsung Health offers deeper health insights, better sleep training, training interval info, and tips to reach your fitness goals. Quick Share lets you share Wi-Fi network credentials. It can also share images and videos, complete with editing history, so that the receiver can revert those changes if necessary. Smart Switch is now more customizable while transferring data.

You can add emojis to Calendar entries, customize which apps need text correction via Samsung Keyboard, and get Grammarly-powered language suggestions via Samsung Keyboard. You can quickly take notes while browsing the web via Samsung Internet or images and videos via Samsung Gallery and add them to Samsung Notes.
