The Galaxy S21 FE received the latest security patch two weeks ago, but it was limited to European countries. Now, the new update has reached US shores with new firmware and is available on a few carrier networks in the country.
The June 2022 security update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE comes with firmware version G990USQU3CVF1. It improves the device's privacy and security by fixing more than 60 known vulnerabilities, according to Samsung. It also brings general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy S21 FE user on Comcast or Xfinity Mobile's network in the US, you can download the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE earlier this year with Android 12-based One UI 4 software onboard. It will get four major Android OS updates in the future, which means it will get the Android 16 update.
