There have been rumors about Samsung's plans of doing away with the in-box charger and earphones with its smartphones in the near future. A new report now claims that the company has no plans to include the charger and earphones with its upcoming flagship smartphone series.
Roland Quandt, who has an extremely accurate track record, says that the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra won't come with the charger and earphones in the box, at least in the European markets. This pretty much confirms earlier rumors around the controversial topic. Moreover, Roland confirms that there won't be any case inside the Galaxy S21 box.
Previous reports claim that the Galaxy S21 series will support 25W fast charging, and some markets might get 25W chargers in the box. The company also seems to be developing 30W USB PD fast chargers for the Galaxy S21 series. Samsung hadn't shipped AKG earphones with the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Note 20 series in the US, but users could request them for free.
If you can remember, Samsung had mocked Apple after the company announced that it won't be shipping iPhones with an in-box charger. However, it looks like the South Korean tech giant is about to follow Apple's footsteps mere months after mocking it.
