Over the past couple of weeks, the Galaxy S21 FE received the December 2022 security update in Europe and the US. Now, the Exynos 2100 version of the smartphone has also started getting the new security patch in some Asian and European countries.

The new software update for the Exynos 2100 version of the Galaxy S21 FE is rolling out in Malaysia, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and Vietnam. It comes with firmware version G990EXXU3DVL1 and brings the December 2022 security patch that fixes close to 100 security vulnerabilities. The update might also include reliability and stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy S21 FE user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE worldwide earlier this year with Android 12 onboard. The company promised to release four major Android OS updates to the device, and it already released the first (Android 13) major update a few weeks ago. It will get three more Android OS updates in the future.
