Samsung has released the March 2024 security update to the factory-unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 5 version in the USA. Two days ago, the update was released to the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the country.

What's new in the March 2024 update for Galaxy Z Flip 5?

The new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 factory-unlocked model is now available in the US. It comes with firmware version F731U1UES2BXBE and has a relatively smaller download size. It includes the March 2024 security patch that fixes over four dozen security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.

The new update is available on all carrier networks in the USA.

It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements. You must wait for the upcoming One UI 6.1 update before new features arrive. It will bring new Galaxy AI capabilities to the foldable phone. It will also bring small improvements, including smoother animations and transitions, more lock screen clock widget font options, and more. You can watch all those One UI 6.1 features in our in-depth video below.

How to install the March 2024 update on your Galaxy Z Flip 5?

If you live in the US and have a factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually. You would need access to a Windows OS computer and the Odin tool for the manual process.
