Renders featuring Samsung's next-gen Galaxy Xcover phone have emerged. The Galaxy Xcover 7 looks as rugged as any previous models in the series and retains the black and fire-red color scheme.
These first Galaxy Xcover 7 renders (via Android Headlines) reveal a rugged phone with a single rear-facing camera next to a dual-LED flash, an Infinity-V display, and an intricate design with a chocolate bar-like pattern on the back panel.
The Galaxy Xcover 7 is shown in black with fire-red accents around the rear-facing camera and dedicated Push-to-Talk side button. The latter is a staple of the Xcover series and can be assigned to apps and all sorts of commands.
One of the few phones left with a user-removable battery
Another staple of the Galaxy Xcover series is a user-removable battery, which allows enterprise users in the field to quickly swap batteries and keep the Xcover going for however long they need with almost no interruption.
Although we can't yet be sure if the Galaxy Xcover 7 has a user-removable battery, that does indeed seem to be the case, judging by the indentation near the upper-right corner of the back panel.
Not much else about the upcoming Galaxy Xcover 7 is known, except for the model number SM-G556B. This indicates that the next-gen Xcover model might be based on the upcoming Galaxy A55, which should be released in the first half of 2024.
