Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy A12, and it brings the July 2021 security patch to the entry-level smartphone. The company started the July 2021 update in the last week of June with the Galaxy S10 series. The rollout was then expanded to other Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

The Galaxy A12 has started getting a new software update in Guatemala. It has firmware version A125MUBS1BUG3, and it includes the July 2021 security patch. According to Samsung's documentation, the July 2021 update fixes more than 20 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. Samsung could expand the update to more countries over the next few days.

If you are using the Galaxy A12 in Guatemala and want to update your smartphone to the latest firmware, you can navigate to Settings » Software update and tap on Download and install. If you are an experienced user, you can backup your data, download the latest firmware file from our firmware database, and flash it manually.

We had first revealed information about the Galaxy A12 exclusively last year. The smartphone was launched in November 2020 with Android 10 on board. It received the Android 11-based One UI Core 3.1 update three months ago.
