Samsung fans in Brazil who might be on the lookout for a new low-cost phone can now purchase the Galaxy A22 from the company's online and offline shops. Samsung has announced the phone's release details for Brazil earlier today, and without further ado, it has launched the device in four color options.
The Galaxy A22 is available in black, green, violet, and white. Samsung Brazil is selling the 128GB model with 4GB of RAM and dual-SIM capabilities for 1,899 Brazilian Real ($366). As usual, the phone is pricier in Brazil than in most other markets due to taxes and other factors.
Customers in Brazil can choose to buy the Galaxy A22 online or from the company's physical retail stores. When buying offline, Samsung customers using an Itaucard have the option of buying the phone through 24 monthly installments.
The Galaxy A22 5G is not available, but that might be for the better
The Galaxy A22 variant that's available now in Brazil is limited to LTE connectivity, and Samsung hasn't revealed any plans to launch the Galaxy A22 5G later down the line. This, however, might not be that big of an issue after all.
Compared to the 5G model, the Galaxy A22 LTE has a high refresh rate Super AMOLED display rather than a 60Hz TFT panel, and it features an additional 2MP camera for macro photography. It also has a selfie camera with a higher 13MP resolution. On the other hand, the panel has a lower pixel count, and the device is powered by the Helio G80 chipset as opposed o the Dimensity 700 5G SoC.
