Last week, Samsung released the January 2024 security update to the Galaxy A34. However, the update was limited to the European countries. The South Korean firm has now expanded the availability of the new security update to the Galaxy A34 in more countries worldwide, including Asia.
Galaxy A34 gets January 2024 security update in Asia
The latest software update for the Galaxy A34 comes bearing firmware version A346EXXS5BXA3. The new update brings the January 2024 security patch and is currently rolling out in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the UAE, and Tunisia. It is a minor update and fixes around 75 security-related flaws that were discovered in the previous version of Samsung's software.
If you have a Galaxy A34 and live in any of the Asian countries listed above, you can now check for the new software update. To do that, you have to open the Settings app on your Galaxy A34 and then navigate to Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. You would need a computer running the Windows operating system and the Odin tool for flashing firmware files. You also need to back up all your important data from the phone in a secure location to be on the safer side.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A34 in the first quarter of 2023 with Android 13 onboard. The device received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update two months ago. Samsung promised to support the Galaxy A34 for up to four years with Android updates and up to five years with security updates.
