Earlier this week, Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 in India alongside the Galaxy A73, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A23, and the Galaxy A13. Now, the company has dropped the price of the Galaxy A52s 5G, which was launched in the second half of last year.
The Galaxy A52s 5G is now priced at INR 30,990 (around $406) for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage now costs INR 32,499 (around $426). The smartphone's launch pricing was INR 35,990 and INR 37,499 for 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants, respectively.
Earlier this year, their prices were decreased, but that was only applicable for offline retail channels. Even online stores have now started selling the Galaxy A52s 5G with a lower price tag. This makes the Galaxy A52s 5G a more sensible choice than the Galaxy A53.

Galaxy A52s 5G makes more sense than Galaxy A53
The Galaxy A52s 5G has a more powerful processor (Snapdragon 778G) than the Galaxy A53's Exynos 1280. It even features a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is missing on the Galaxy A53. Both smartphones run Android 12-based One UI 4 and feature a 32MP front-facing camera, a 64MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor.
The Galaxy A53 has a bigger battery (5,000mAh) than the Galaxy A52s 5G (4,500mAh), and both phones support up to 25W fast charging. Both smartphones have 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, stereo speakers, and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
For those who value a faster processor and a headphone jack, the Galaxy A52s 5G makes more sense than the Galaxy A53.
