The Galaxy A53 5G is one of the most anticipated Samsung phones of the year for the simple fact that its predecessor — the Galaxy A52 — proved to be a massive success for the company last year. Expectations are high for the Galaxy A53 5G, and based on the information that has leaked thus far, it's not going to disappoint.
Speaking of leaks, a handful of official Galaxy A53 5G press renders have recently emerged online via WinFuture, along with a few more camera details. The phone looks the same as it did in previous leaks, except now, we're looking at official press materials rather than fan-made renders.
The Galaxy A53 5G doesn't depart much from the A52's design, meaning it has a metal frame and a polycarbonate back panel. Both phones look alike, and the most noticeable difference lies in the camera housing design. The Galaxy A53 5G has the same sensor arrangement, but the camera housing has smoother corners.
More Galaxy A53 5G camera specifications revealed
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A53 5G with a quad-camera setup. A primary 64MP sensor was expected, but beyond that, the latest leaked information puts the main shooter next to a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP depth camera, and another 5MP macro sensor.
The selfie camera should clock in at a resolution of 32MP, so all things considered, the Galaxy A53 5G doesn't seem to make any fundamental changes to the camera setup from last year.
Other specs should include an Exynos 1200 chipset, a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080, and a 5,000mAh battery that's likely to support 25W charging.
Russia recently approved the Galaxy A53 5G, and the same device was previously spotted at TENAA, the FCC, and NBTC. An official announcement could happen by March, so stay tuned.
