Samsung didn't launch new Galaxy Buds during the Galaxy S23 launch event that happened last week. Instead, the company is focusing on improving its existing wireless earbuds. The South Korean firm has released a new firmware update to the Galaxy Buds 2.
The new update for the Galaxy Buds 2, which comes with firmware version R177XXU0AWA3, has been released in South Korea. According to the changelog, the new 3.06MB software update improves the charging stability of wireless earbuds. We expect the new update to be released in more countries worldwide within the next few days.
To update your Galaxy Buds 2 to the latest firmware, open the Galaxy Wearable app, and select the Galaxy Buds 2 from the left hamburger menu. Once the Galaxy Buds 2 are connected to your phone, click on Earbud Settings » Earbuds software update and tap on Download and install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds 2 a year and a half ago but hasn't come out with its successor yet. It is expected that the company will come out with the Galaxy Buds 3 in the second half of 2023 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
