Samsung's latest wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 2, were unveiled a few days ago. Although they are not Samsung's most premium earbuds, they have some features that are not available even on the Galaxy Buds Pro. Now, Samsung has released a new firmware update to the Galaxy Buds Pro, arguably the best Samsung earbuds released to date, to bring some of those Galaxy Buds 2 features.

A new firmware update has been released to the Galaxy Buds Pro in South Korea. The update brings Ambient Sound support during calls, the ability to activate ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) mode with just one earbud, and Ambient Sound customizations. Samsung's new update might also include bug fixes and device stability improvements.

This update comes with firmware version R190XXUA0UH5. To update to this version, you have to update the Galaxy Buds Pro plugin app on your connected smartphone to the latest version (3.0.21082751). We expect the software update rollout to expand to the Galaxy Buds Pro in more markets over the next few weeks.

I’m never abandoning the Galaxy Buds and going back to wired headphones

After more than one year of using the Galaxy Buds Pro, I'm convinced I'm never going back to using wired headphones with my Galaxy smartphone or tablet. And not because the 3.5mm headphone port is gone. There's always the option to use a USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter if I really want to listen to music through a […]
