Samsung is working on a new Galaxy F-series smartphone—Galaxy F14 5G—and it could make its global debut in India in January 2023, reports 91Mobiles. Citing anonymous sources, the publication claims that the phone will be sold in India exclusively through Flipkart and Samsung’s official online store for the country.
This isn’t the first time we hear about the Galaxy F14 5G though. A couple of weeks ago, the phone (SM-E146B/DS) was spotted on the Bureau of India Standards (BIS) certification platform. However, the specifications and pricing of the smartphone are scarce at the moment.
Typically, the Galaxy F-series phones are rebranded versions of Galaxy M-series and Galaxy A-series devices. However, Samsung hasn’t launched Galaxy M14 5G or Galaxy A14 5G either (both of which are in the works). So, it is hard to predict what we can expect from the Galaxy F14 5G.
Going by the naming convention, the Galaxy F14 5G seems to be an upgrade over the Galaxy F13. So, expect it to have a better screen, processor, and/or cameras. We hope that Samsung doesn’t cram the Galaxy F14 5G with the same, slow-performing Exynos 850 SoC that's in the Galaxy F13.
