Samsung had released its latest security patch to a bunch of smartphones yesterday. Today, the company started rolling it to the Galaxy F62 as well. The smartphone was launched in India earlier this year with Android 11-based One UI 3.1.
The Galaxy F62 has started getting a new software update with firmware version E625FDDU2AUI2 in India. Apart from usual bug fixes and device stability improvements, the latest software update also includes the October 2021 security patch. Samsung has revealed that it has fixed 68 security vulnerabilities with the October patch.
If you are a Galaxy F62 user in India, you might soon get this software update. If you don't want to wait for the OTA update to arrive on its own, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also opt to download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung has currently listed the Galaxy F62 in its quarterly software update schedule, which means that the device will get its next update after three months. The device is expected to get two major Android OS updates in the future.
