After releasing the December 2021 security update to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Z Flip, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung has started rolling it out to the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. The update is rolling out in Hong Kong and Taiwan, but it will soon expand to more markets over the next few weeks.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite comes with firmware version N770FZHS8EUK9. While we don't have the official changelog for the update yet, it brings the December 2021 security patch to the smartphone to fix dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements.
If you're a Galaxy Note 10 Lite user in Hong Kong or Taiwan, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 10 Lite in January 2020 with Android 10-based SamMobile'sboard. Earlier this year, the S Pen-toting smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update. It could get the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in the first quarter of 2021.
