More Galaxy Note 20 users can now install April 2023 security update

Last week, Samsung released the April 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 series in the US. Now, the company is expanding the update to more countries worldwide. The Galaxy Note 20 series is now getting the April 2023 security update in Asian and European countries.

Galaxy Note 20 April 2023 security update: What's new?

The latest software update for the 4G variants of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with firmware version N98xFXXU6HWCC. The 5G versions of the phones are getting the same update with firmware version N98xBXXU6HWCC. The update is currently available in Germany, Indonesia, Southeast Europe, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. More countries could get access to the update within the next few days.

The April 2023 security patch included in this update fixes over 60 security flaws, including the ones affecting Exynos chips and modems. The update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements. It is also expected to bring the Image Clipper feature that debuted with the Galaxy S23.

If you have a Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
