Samsung launched the Galaxy Quantum 2 in 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.0. Back then, the brand promised to offer three new versions of the OS to the smartphone, and last year, it rolled out the third and the last version of the OS (Android 14-based One UI 6.0) to the device. Now, the tech giant is rolling out the last One UI upgrade to the phone.
That’s right, Samsung has released One UI 6.1 to the Galaxy Quantum 2 in South Korea (for model number SM-A826S). The software update that brings One UI 6.1 to the Galaxy Quantum 2 changes the phone’s firmware version to A826SKSU5GXE1. To get the new software, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. After this update, the phone will only get security updates (till 2025).
What does One UI 6.1 offer on Galaxy Quantum 2?
One UI 6.1 brings many new features to the Galaxy Quantum 2. You now get new options to edit images and videos, new ways to customize wallpapers and the phone’s user interface, more data and battery protection features, additional features to manage your health, and features that will make conversing with people over calls and messages easier. Check out our video below to learn more about One UI 6.1.
Unfortunately, One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy Quantum 2 doesn’t pack Galaxy AI, which offers many AI-powered tools that could come very handy in day-to-day life. Samsung has reserved it for high-end and flagship-grade smartphones and tablets. You can learn more about Galaxy AI here. If you find these features useful and want to get a phone that offers them, the Galaxy S23 FE is the most affordable option.
