Samsung's November 2023 security update reached the Galaxy S20 series yesterday, but it was limited to the 5G versions of the devices in the lineup. Now, even 4G versions of Galaxy S20 smartphones have started getting the new security update in several countries across Europe.
4G versions of Galaxy S20 series phones get November 2023 security update
The new security update for the 4G versions of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with firmware version G98xFXXSIHWJD. It is a small update, clocking in below the 500MB mark, and it is available in several European countries. Those countries include Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Nordic countries, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Spain, Switzerland, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the UK.
This new update brings the November 2023 security patch that fixes over 65 security flaws, according to Samsung's security bulletin. It doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements.
If you have a 4G version of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, or Galaxy S20 Ultra and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update now. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install.
