While the Galaxy S20 FE has just started getting the Android 13 update in the US, the international version received the Android update a few weeks ago, along with the November 2022 security update. Now, Samsung is updating the Snapdragon 4G version of the Galaxy S20 FE with the December 2022 security patch.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G) is rolling out with firmware version G780GXXS3DVL1. The update is currently available in Indonesia and Vietnam. Other countries where this version of the phone was launched will get the new update within the next few days.
The December 2022 security patch brings fixes for close to 100 security vulnerabilities. The new update could also bring general bug fixes and reliability improvements. Android 13 is the last major Android OS update for the Galaxy S20 FE, and from now on, it will only get security updates.
If you are a Galaxy S20 FE user with the Snapdragon LTE version, you can now install the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
