The new software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE comes with firmware version G990USQSBGXF1 in the US, and it is available on AT&T, Dish Wireless, Comcast, and Xfinity Mobile networks. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy S21 FE is getting the new update with firmware version G990U1UESBGXF1, and the update is available on all carrier networks.
The June 2024 security patch aims to fix 59 security loopholes in the previous version of Samsung's phone and tablet software. The update doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements. It is a relatively small update, so you don't specifically need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network.
To install the new update on your Galaxy S21 FE, you can open the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually if you want to go down the manual firmware flashing route.
