Samsung has released the March 2024 security update to the Galaxy S21 FE in more countries. The new security update has already been released to phones in European countries and the US. Other regions could get the new update soon.
Galaxy S21 FE gets March 2024 security update in Asia
The new software update for the Galaxy S21 FE comes bearing firmware version G990EXXS7FXC2. It is currently available in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. It could be released to the phone in other markets soon.
If you have a Galaxy S21 FE and live in any of the countries listed above, you can check whether your phone has received it. To do that, open the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using Odin and a computer running Windows OS.
The March 2024 security update fixes 44 security vulnerabilities found in the previous versions of its operating systems. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements. The phone will get new features with the One UI 6.1 update, though, and you can check out those features in our in-depth video below.
