While Galaxy S22 users await the feature-laden One UI 6.1 update, Samsung has released the April 2024 security update instead. So, it looks like Galaxy S22 users will have to wait a few more weeks before they can see the One UI 6.1 update on their devices.
The April 2024 security update is now available for the factory-unlocked Galaxy S22 units in the USA.
Factory-unlocked Galaxy S22 gets April 2024 update in USA
The latest software update, which brings the April 2024 security update to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, is now available to factory-unlocked units in the USA. The update comes with firmware version S90xU1UES4DXD1 and fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software versions. It is a minor update with a relatively smaller download size.
If you have an unlocked Galaxy S22 series phone and live in the USA, you can check for the new update on your phone right now. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new and appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy S22 was launched in early 2022 with Android 12 onboard. It received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. It will get the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update later this year.
