Samsung has released the new security update more widely to the Galaxy S22 series. The update is now available in Asian countries, Australia, and Latin American countries. The February 2024 security update was first released to the Galaxy S22 in Europe and then expanded to North America.

The new security update is now available for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Asia and Latin America. The update comes with firmware version S90xEXXS7DXB5 in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. In Latin American countries, the update has arrived bearing firmware version S90xEXXS7DXB7. In Australia, the update comes with firmware version S90xEXXS7DXB8. This new update fixes 72 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.
If you have a Galaxy S22 series phone and live in any of the countries or regions mentioned above, you can check for the new update. You can do that by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
This could be among the last software updates for the Galaxy S22 before the feature-laden One UI 6.1 update arrives. The Galaxy S22 series was launched in 2022 with Android 12 pre-installed. The phones in the lineup received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023.
