While Galaxy S24 users are anxiously waiting for the first update to hit their devices, Samsung has released the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy S23. The company has released the new security update to the Galaxy S23 series in the US, and it could expand its availability in other parts of the world soon.

The carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra have started getting the February 2024 security update in the US. The update has firmware version S91xUSQS2BXAD and is available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile networks. The factory-unlocked versions of the smartphones are also getting the update, and those updates come with firmware version S91xU1UES2BXAD. This update includes the February 2024 security patch, which brings fixes for 72 security flaws found in the previous software version. It is a minor update with a download size of around 400MB.

If you have a Galaxy S23 series smartphone and if you live in the US, you can now check for the new update on your device. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series early last year with Android 13 onboard. They received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update three months ago, and the devices are expected to get some of the AI-powered features from the Galaxy S24 series with the One UI 6.1 update. That update will likely arrive in the next couple of months.
