Samsung has released the February 2024 update to several smartphones over the last two weeks, and a few of those phones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy S23/S23+/S23 Ultra, received the update in the US before other markets.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5's February update arrived in Europe earlier today, and Samsung is also expanding the availability of the update for the Galaxy S23 lineup outside the US.
Several countries in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East are getting the February update for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. The update is accompanied by a firmware version ending in BXAD and brings the February 2024 security patch to Samsung's 2023 flagships.
Security fixes are all you're getting in this update. One UI 6.1, along with some of the Galaxy S24's AI features, could hit the Galaxy S23 lineup next month according to one rumor, but we wouldn't get too excited as Samsung seems to be taking it slow with updates for both new and not-so-new devices.
For now, look forward to a notification for the February update on your Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra. If you don't wish to wait, you can check for the update manually by tapping the Download and install option in the phone's Settings » Software update menu. You can also upgrade your phone using firmware files available in our archive, though you will need a Windows PC for this.
