Samsung has released a new security update for the Galaxy S24 series in India. It brings the June 2024 security patch to the phones in the lineup.
Last week, this update was also released in other markets, including Europe, South Korea, and the USA.
Galaxy S24 June 2024 security update now available in India
The new software update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is available in India, comes bearing firmware version S92xBXXS2AXED. It brings the June 2024 security patch that fixes 59 security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous versions of the software. It has a download size of around 300MB – 450MB (depending on the model) but doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements.
If you have a Galaxy S24 series phone and live in India, you can now check for the new update on your phone. To do that, open the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware version from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy S24 was launched earlier this year with Android 14-based One UI 6.1 onboard. With the first two software updates, the devices received bug fixes, camera improvements, and performance enhancements. The next update for these devices is expected to bring One UI 6.1.1 with more Galaxy AI features.
Samsung is also said to be working on an update that is focused on improving the camera performance and reliability.
