Despite being the world's second-largest smartphone market, India often gets step-motherly treatment when it comes to flagship products. Samsung's high-end Galaxy Tab S series of tablets are known to arrive weeks, if not months after their international counterparts. Thankfully the wait is a lot shorter with the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab S8 series in India
Much like the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung live-streamed the Galaxy Tab S8 India launch on its official YouTube channel. However, unlike the Galaxy S22 reveal, Samsung actually included pertinent information in the launch, such as the pre-order date and launch offers. It is also worth noting that the Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8+ will be specced with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the Galaxy S8 Ultra will feature 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage.
The entry-level Galaxy Tab S8 will set you back by INR 58,999 for the Wi-Fi variant and INR 70,999 for the 5G variant. Similarly, a Galaxy Tab S8+ will retail at INR 74,999 and INR 87,999 for the Wi-Fi and 5G variants, respectively. Lastly, the top-of-the-line Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra costs INR 1,08,999 for the Wi-Fi-only flavour. Its 5G-enabled sibling costs an eye-watering INR 1,22,999, which is practically foldable territory.
One can pre-order the Galaxy Tab S8 series in India between February 22 and March 10, 2022. As far as pre-order offers for the Galaxy Tab S8 series are concerned, HDFC Bank customers can get a discount of INR 10,000 on the purchase of Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, INR 8,000 on the purchase of Galaxy Tab S8+ and INR 7,000 for the Galaxy Tab S8. Samsung is throwing in a free Keyboard Cover with all tablets ordered between the time period as well.
