A few days ago, the Galaxy Z Flip 3's international variant started getting Samsung's latest security update. Now, the update is also rolling out in the US, specifically for the carrier-locked version of the foldable smartphone. The update hasn't been released to the unlocked model yet.
The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with firmware version F711USQS3DVHD. The update brings the September 2022 security patch that fixes 24 security vulnerabilities, as explained by Samsung. The new software update is rolling out on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile's networks, and other carriers are expected to release the update soon.
If you're a Galaxy Z Flip 3 user in the US with a carrier-locked version, you can now check for the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install on the screen. If the update isn't available right away, keep checking for it for the next few days. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 with Android 11-based One UI 3 software onboard. The foldable phone received the Android 12-based One UI 4 update earlier this year. It will get at least two more Android OS updates in the future.
