Just last week, Samsung released the feature-packed One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Now, the South Korean firm has released one more software update to the foldable phone, bringing the April 2024 security patch to make the device more secure.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets April 2024 security update in Europe
The new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is now available in all European countries. The new update for the device comes bearing firmware version F731BXXS1CXCK. It is a fairly small update as it doesn't bring any new features to the device. It only includes the April 2024 security patch that fixes a few dozen security vulnerabilities.
If you live in Europe and have a Galaxy Z Flip 5, you can install the new update on your phone. You can download the new update by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, if you're well-versed with manual firmware flashing, you can download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually using a computer running Windows OS and having the Odin tool installed.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the second half of 2023 with Android 13 onboard. Late last year, the foldable phone received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. Last week, the device received even more features with the One UI 6.1 update. It will get three more Android OS updates in the future.
