Last week, Samsung announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event will happen on July 26, 2023. The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and Galaxy Watch 6 series. The company also opened pre-reservations for these devices in many countries, including India. However, the tech giant hasn’t revealed when these devices will go on sale, leaving fans clueless about when they can get their hands on the upcoming devices. Fortunately, a new leak sheds some light on that.
According to 91Mobiles, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will go on sale in India on August 14, 2023. That means people will have to wait for around 20 days from the date of unveiling to get their new Galaxy devices. Considering that Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 also went on sale in the country around the same time (August 26, 2022), the latest news seems credible. This is also probably when the Galaxy Tab S9 and the Galaxy Watch 6 will go on sale in India. However, there’s no confirmation about that yet.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 pre-reservation offers in India
If you pre-reserve the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9, or Galaxy Watch 6 in India, Samsung will give you benefits worth INR 5,000 (around $60) on the purchase of these devices. However, there’s currently no information about what those benefits will be. We expect the brand to offer free goodies with the purchase of these devices, which may include Galaxy Buds, cases, or extended warranty plans. Samsung says that pre-reserving these devices will also give you access to get these devices in special colors, just like last time.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, improved displays, better cameras, and hinges. Apart from the IP67 rating, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is also expected to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and offer longer battery life, improved displays, and better cameras compared to their predecessors.
As for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, it is expected to be a slightly modified version of the Galaxy Watch 5 series with longer battery life and an improved design.
