Galaxy Z Flip 5, Fold 5 cross 100,000 pre-bookings in India in 28 hours

Samsung opened pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in India a couple of weeks ago. Today, the company revealed that its fifth-generation foldable phones have been extremely popular in the country. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 have crossed over 100,000 pre-bookings within the first 28 hours.

The company received a whopping 70% more pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 compared to their predecessors, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is priced at INR 99,999 (256 GB) in India, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 starts at INR 154,999 (256GB).

Pre-ordering the Galaxy Z Flip 5 gives buyers an instant discount of INR 8,000 if they use an HDFC Bank debit or credit card for the purchase. Pre-order offers for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 include a free upgrade to the 512GB version and an instant cashback of INR 8,000 if an HDFC Bank card is used. Users also get an INR 2,000 Samsung Shop app credit that they can use to buy accessories for the phones. Those who pre-reserved their Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Galaxy Z Fold 5 by paying INR 1,999 will get a Samsung Shop credit of INR 5,000, which will be deducted from the final bill.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is available in Cream, Graphite, Lavender, and Mint colors, but users can get the phone in three other online-exclusive colors (Blue, Green, and Grey) through Samsung India's website. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes in Cream, Icy Blue, and Phantom Black, but consumers can get it in Blue and Grey colors exclusively through Samsung.com.
