In South Korea, Samsung has opened the One UI 5.0 Beta program for the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Users of these older foldable phones can now beta-test Android 13 on their smartphones. Other markets, including China, Germany, India, the UK, and the US, can get access to the beta update in a few days.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip or a Galaxy Z Flip 5G user in South Korea, you can now opt to test the One UI 5.0 beta update on your smartphone. And you can do that by downloading the Samsung Members app on your device, signing into the app using your Samsung account (the same account that's active on your phone), and clicking on the One UI 5.0 Beta program banner on the app's home screen.
Once you are done with the registration process, Samsung will notify you as soon as it releases the One UI 5.0 Beta 1 update for your smartphone. You can also check for the availability of the update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
The new software brings Android 13 along with a revamped UI design, featuring the expanded Color Palette feature. It also brings stacked widgets, a new Connected Devices menu in the Settings app, and a more consistent icon size in the notifications area. Samsung has also improved all its stock apps, including My Files, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard.
