Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, will bring a lot of improvements over the Galaxy Z Flip 5, including a better design, less noticeable crease on the foldable display, a higher resolution primary camera at the rear, and a larger battery. However, the upcoming phone will also have one downside compared to the existing one, and that’s price. A new leak sheds light on the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for the United States, and you are not going to like it.

According to @OnLeaks and SmartPrix, Samsung will launch the 256GB storage variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 at USD 1,099 and the 512GB storage variant of the smartphone at USD 1,219. For comparison, the company launched the 256GB storage variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 at USD 999 and the 512GB storage variant of the smartphone at USD 1,119. So, both storage variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be USD 100 costlier than those of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. That’s bad news for prospective buyers.

The story continues after the video…

Samsung’s not just increasing the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It is also increasing the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Earlier today, we got to know that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will cost USD 1,899 for 256GB storage, USD 2,109 for 512GB storage, and USD 2,259 for 1TB storage. That’s USD 100 more compared to the same storage variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Samsung is going to launch the two smartphones on 10 July 2024.
